Anthony Washington scored 16 points to lead Portland State to an 82-59 victory over Montana State on Thursday night. The win was the third in a row for Portland State, which kept its hopes alive for a berth in the Big Sky Conference tournament. Ryan Sommer added 13 points for the Vikings (11-15, 4-9 Big Sky) and Juma Kamara had 12. Al Beye led Montana State (14-13, 6-6) with 15 points and six blocked shots. Marvin Moss added 11 points for the Bobcats and Derrick Edmonds chipped in with 10. Portland State went on a 12-2 run late in the first half, and built a 48-28 at the break when Tyler Hollist connected on the Vikings' eighth 3-pointer of the half as the buzzer sounded. The Bobcats, who shot just 39 percent on the night, narrowed the lead to 62-47 in the second half, but never seriously threatened
